Ephesians 1:15,16 – But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
My name is Richard Allen Golko. Born in the USA, I am blessed to have friends and relatives from many countries across most continents. I am part of a truly international family. I work part time as a software engineer and spend the rest of my time researching, teaching God’s Word and fellowshipping with God’s people. I write books that teach the Word of God, and I play guitar and write songs with the goal to bless God’s people through music – though as my singing is a little questionable on occasion it may be a smaller blessing than I hoped!
I’m a “layperson.” What I mean by that is I haven’t studied at any school of Divinity, nor have I graduated from any school of higher learning. I’m just a person who loves God and wants to know Him and everything about Him so I can be who He wants me to be.
I know and believe each person has a place in God’s plan and that God will become All in every person (I Corinthians 15:28). I am one of those people.
My commitment to God is to love Him by believing Him through His written Word of Truth, and to live that truth to the best of my God-given ability.
My commitment to my Lord Jesus Christ is to love Him and follow His lead in my life for He is Head of the church of which I am part. I seek to teach others who will teach others also, so that the truth of God’s Word can live in everyone who desires it.
I simply seek to be what God is making me to be, which is to be conformed to the image of his Son, and to do that which God wants me to do, in the way in which He wants me to do it.
My commitment to you who read, watch and listen to the material I produce, is to serve you with the love of Christ. I only want to help you learn, understand and apply God’s Word in your own life which will in turn bless you and others in your sphere of influence through you. I want you to engage with me so the experiential learning process can continue to evolve and bear fruit in both of our lives.
I responded to God’s call in my early years but didn’t commit to Him until my early 20s – a few decades ago now. A series of events and two miracles happened that drew my attention back to God and my Lord Jesus Christ after I had slipped away into the early 70’s drug scene. After these miracles, I was led to go on a five day fast to discover what God’s will for my life was.
I was in the fifth day of my fast and absolutely nothing remotely “spiritual” happened at all during that time. I was getting depressed and weak but was not going to break my fast. I went over to a friend’s house, thinking I would not find the new revelation I was seeking. My friend was not a Christian; at least he never indicated he was in all the years I knew him. But right there on his kitchen table sat a syllabus of a Bible class.
I looked at the syllabus in astonishment. After all I had never heard anything about God out of his mouth. I asked him where he got it as I was looking through it. He said he met a girl he became interested in and it was her syllabus. He told me there was a class starting that night. Well this was the first bit of potential “spiritual” input I had in the five days of fasting, and I was well into the fifth day. I agreed to go.
I went to the class and, staring at me from the TV screen, a man said, “You are here because you want to know what God’s will is.” I’m here to tell you God’s Word is God’s will. You can go to a church your whole life, as wonderful as they are, and never learn God’s Word. I’m going to teach you how to study God’s Word for yourself so you can know, definitively from God’s Word itself, what God’s will is.
God answered me so clearly I could not mistake it. I took that class on how to study the Bible and spent the next 10 years doing Greek and Hebrew word studies. That made it easier to put whole subjects together without breaking God’s Word elsewhere. Entire sections of God’s Word came together for me in my understanding as God gave the increase.
As I continued to learn God’s written Word, I had to make many changes and adjustments to my belief system. My entire world view has changed. I’m, even though in part, seeing the world and world affairs more as God sees them, from His point of view. I now know, from His Word, His Master Plan and how He is achieving it. I am prepared to teach these great truths to others who will teach others. This is my heart’s desire.
If there is anything I can do to help you learn God’s Word and apply it in your own life, let me know. My contact details are on the Contact Us page. If you have any questions, are having a hard time understanding any specific point, or just want to fellowship with me and share what God’s doing in your life, then please contact me.
There are many different things a person can choose to pursue in this life. We can pursue love, money, comfort, success, peace, car racing, football, or a host of other endeavors, hobbies, and of course excesses and lists. But there is one thing that God values above all others and that is for us to believe Him and live as He would have us to live. He has a plan for each of our lives and, what that plan is, is largely determined by how we respond to Him.
I choose to seek and follow God, the Sovereign One, by believing the record God gave of His Son who died for my sins, was buried and was risen from the dead the third day. I love God, God’s Son Jesus the Christ, and all of God’s people.
How may I serve you?
